Examining Social Sustainability in Organizations

Social sustainability in organizations has been externally focused and, given its socio-ecological importance and potential, it requires further attention. This study examines social business (a) as an antecedent of environmental economically related constructs, (b) a component multiplicity relationships among social, environmental, associated constructs. We examine diverse set 41 model configurations 10 first-order second-order constructs following gradient ranging from relatively moderate degree order to quasi-random construct arrangements ending with fully determined at random. These sets reflect variability commonality respondents various organizations, industries, regions the United States. Constructs may be antecedents, mediators, or outcomes. Analyses were conducted using PLS-SEM software. Results show that are core organizational life, their frequent strong positive effects on other well constructs; within dimensions. Contributions include examining both constructs’ ordering contingent nature position. Theoretical practical implications, limitations future research, discussed.
